Is pin-up art sexist?

I don't think it is, some might. I see it as a celebration of the female form. You take a normal female nude painting, put high heels on her and a slip on a cute, possibly sexy outfit, put her into a cute or sexy pose..and the whole dynamic changes. Some folks have it in their mind that the pin-up is sexist and degrades women. When I see how women are treated in Saudi Arabia and a few other Islamic coutries, pin-ups are a pleasant walk in the park.

What's your opinion..?

It's tough. Very tough.

I'm not the most well known artist. Not well known anyplace for that matter. I manage, but it's all I can do with what I have. I'm not the most motivated individual, but now and then, people will throw me a bone and I'll fetch it. A year or so back, I had a chance to do some ad art for a local Denver roller girl league, it was going along fine. I'd send my renditions, and they'd send back changes, etc. No big deal. I have lot of so-called "blogs". You ask about it, and I might have it. Live-Journal, Xanga, Blogspot, MySpace, Facebook, deviantArt, this one...whatever...

However, I don't post to all of them. I can't, it's too much work. Blogs are a dime a dozen full of stuff that probably doesn't interest anyone..hell, mine don't.
